Procedures for Posting Related Services Evaluations on eSped SCENARIO 1: An initial therapy evaluation when therapy it is part of a student’s initial FIE/eligibility consideration (i.e. a student being evaluated by the PPCD assessment team or a child who is being considered for SpEd eligibility for the first time AND OT or PT is part of that initial FIE/eligibility The therapist will write their evaluation and complete the following steps in order to post their evals on esped. 1. Go to Screen: FIE - Related Services Application: eFIE
2. Under FIE - Related Services, “If checked, Print with FIE document” 3. Complete Sources of Data,(click on blue arrow icon Go to bottom left side and click on New Complete information in sources of data (Formal and Informal Measures) fields Hit Save Then hit Return tab (near the middle of the row of tabs) and the screen will bring you back to the Screen: FIE-Related Services
4. Post your evaluation in the paper icon next to Results And Interpretations (You will paste here, do not attempt to create the eval here).
5. Answer the question “Does the student require a related service to benefit from special education?”
6 If you select Yes go down to the next box and click New and add your recommended service.
7. Go back up to tabs and hit Save
8. Go to Screen: Assurances/Evaluators. If your name isn’t in the first column add it. In the middle column, “click to sign evaluator”, use the mouse to draw your name; in the last column use the drop down menu in the third column to choose your discipline. Click SAVE in menu tab. 9. IF you recommended services, then go to Screen: Related Service (1) or (2) etc. and complete all the information prompted with the drop down menus.
10. Add *Present levels of education performance which identify the need for the related service (this is going to be part of the PLAAFP). by clicking the paper icon. Do the same for your evaluation (copied from a Word document) paste in Evaluation Results icon
11. Complete the signature pieces. SCENARIO 2: Posting evaluations on eSped for students who already have an IEP but are being considered for a related services such as OT/PT/MT for the first time. (If NO OTHER TESTING)
2. Complete all the information prompted with the drop down menus. 3. Add *Present levels of education performance which identify the need for the related service (this is going to be part of the PLAAFP). by clicking the paper icon. Do the same for your evaluation in Evaluation Results icon 4. Answer “*Assessment data indicate that this student meets district eligibility requirements and needs…” 5. If Yes then complete the services drop down menus. If No go to signature box 6. Complete the signature pieces, Save 7. Go to Archive/Print tab 8. Choose your report [FIE Related (1), (2) etc] 9. Check 10. Fill out Archive comment 11. In Folder dropdown, choose Evaluation 12. In Archive Type dropdown, choose Other 13. Click on Print Final Copy . SCENARIO 3: Posting re-evaluations and or REEDS for students who are currently receiving related services OR a child who is new to a related services AND OTHER AREAS ARE TESTING.
