April DC/TL Timeline

What We Do
    1. Determine Case Manager for all new students entering the campus. Selections should be determined based on program the student is involved in, classes where the teacher is assigned to support, extracurricular activities for those students receiving monitoring through Support Facilitation
    2. Provide any updated teacher schedules to the Campus Coordinator as schedules are adjusted.
    3. Meet with SpEd Case Managers to discuss their analysis of student service logs (March 6 - March 31).  Monitor students receiving their services and let administration know if there is a problem with a student receiving their services.  
    4. Submit March medicaid sign-in sheets to the medicaid specialist (loriv@springisd.org) by scanning the sheet to yourself first  (to maintain a record of scanned document) and then forwarding the scanned document to loriv@springisd.org & mmcdowell@springisd.org or before April 14.
    5. Submit all Form 2 planning documents for 5th and 8th graders to your campus coordinator by April 14.
    6. Complete and submit Revised Monthly Count information to campus coordinator by April 13 (put the actual day the count was taken in the blank).
    7. Ensure SpEd teachers are collaborating with GenEd teachers to complete the Form 2 - Student Services Planning Document prior to participating in the annual ARD/IEP meeting.
    8. Ensure  appropriate state testing accommodations are delivered to the CTC for MAY STAAR (this includes individual supplemental aids)
    9. When a restraint takes place, be sure that the certified staff member involved in the restraint completes the appropriate forms and notifies administration and parents according to the procedures outlined in the procedures manual**: Confinement, Restraint, and Timeout.
    10. Meet with Special Education team to relay information from the March DC/TL meeting (agenda and sign-in sheets will be collected April 25).
    11. Ensure SpEd teachers are progress monitoring according to outlined procedures.
    Due to Campus Coordinator on or before April 13:
    1. Monthly Count 
    2. Monthly Analysis for March 6 - March 31
    Due on or before April 14: 
    Complete by April 18:
    • Connect with CTC to receive STAAR testing results for 5th & 8th graders.
    • Ensure an IPI is developed and an ARD/IEP meeting is held to implement the plan.
    Due to Campus Coordinator prior to or on April 25:
    • Agenda and Sign-In sheet from Campus SpEd team meeting regarding March DC/TL meeting 
    Due to SpEd Manager Secretary, Lorraine Rosales, on April 28:
    • Special Education Campus Sign-In sheets (for many campuses, this is found on the red clipboard)
