2022-2023 August DC/TL Timeline

What We Do

Due by August 5: 

Orientation for ALL DC/TLs for the new school year

Due on or before August 11: 

Develop caseload lists for each Case Manager. All DC/TLs should also have a caseload.

⬜ Email esped@springisd.org with all new Special Education Teachers names to gain

Distribute lists to Case Managers so they can share General Education Bundles through 

        Frontline/eSped to teachers providing instruction for the first day of instruction.


Make arrangements with the campus principal to be able to present SpEd101 to all campus staff.

        Be sure to use the sign-in sheet to capture attendance. SpEd Sign-In

Due by August 26: 

Ensure all Case Managers have shared the General Education Bundles with all teachers who provide instruction to the student. 

Conduct a virtual meeting or send follow up email to assure that each student's teachers have signed for the IEP documents.

 

Verify all general education, special education, and CTE teachers create a STEP binder to maintain student information, student performance, work samples (with accommodations) for students with an IEP. Schoology option (how to video). 

Confirm that each Case Manager completed the Verification of Special Education Services Form spreadsheet for their caseload students.   

Share Case Manager lists to Administrators and Counselors. 

Have Case Managers sign-out district provided equipment (including but not limited to: 

Chromebooks, radios, TI calculators) using the Equipment Sign Out Form.

Check Frontline/eSped to ensure Case Managers have updated their name as the case 

manager for the students who they are assigned for the 2021-2022 school year. 

Obtain a list of all annual IEP meetings from your IEP Clerk. 

Assist Case Managers with accessing student information through Eduphoria & 

eSchool/Decision Ed by requesting access for them (submit request to campus admin if 

they don't already have access).

Every Month

Ensure transfer students receiving special education are scheduled to receive their 

services outlined in their IEP.

Compare Campus PEIMS list with Frontline/eSped report to ensure all students who

receive special education services are accounted for and have a Case Manager

assigned to them.

Ensure that GenEd content or grade level department chairs/team leads are sharing the 

lesson plans with ECSE, AB, PASS, SILC, Inclusion and Homebound teachers.

 

Due by September 8th:

Begin collecting student/program numbers to complete 15 Day count  and

submit to the Campus Coordinator.
