2019-2020 November DC/TL/CS Timeline

What We Do
  1. Complete the Monthly Special Education Roster/SHARS Documentation google doc - follow instructions outlined in the Monthly Medicaid Roster procedures submit to shars@springisd.org or before November 5.
  2. Ensure all Secondary and PPCD case mangers update and archive IEP progress reports for second 6 weeks (Secondary) or 1st reporting period (PPCD).
  3. Ensure all transfer agreements have been archived by the Diagnostician and that the IEP clerk has sent documents to District SpEd Office (Wanda Concha).
  4. Monitor that all 30 day Transfer ARDs take place within the 30 day timeline.
  5. Determine Case Manager for all new students entering the campus. Selections should be determined based on program the student is involved in, classes where the teacher is assigned to support, extracurricular activities for those students receiving monitoring through Support Facilitation
  6. Provide any updated teacher schedules to the Campus Coordinator as schedules are adjusted.
  7. Meet with SpEd Case Managers by Nov. 8 to discuss any students who did not receive their services during the month of October.  maintain a running record of this information and share with administration if a pattern of concerning behavior is identified through the data.
  8. Complete and submit Revised Monthly Count information to campus coordinator by November 14 (put the actual day the count was taken in the blank next to monthly count).
  9. When a restraint takes place, be sure that the certified staff member involved in the restraint completes the appropriate forms and notifies administration and parents according to the procedures outlined in the procedures manual**: Confinement, Restraint, and Timeout.
  10. Meet with Special Education Coordinator to provide Department Information
  11. Attend DC/TL Connection Meeting (online November 18).
Due to Medicaid Specialist (shars@springisd.org) by Monday, November 5:
  • Updated teacher/para google doc with signatures for medicaid services
    Due to Campus Coordinator by Thursday, November 14:
    1. Monthly Count 
    2. Confirmation that Secondary & PPCD IEP progress reports have been archived and sent home with report cards.
    Due to Campus Coordinator on or before December 12:
    • Sign-In sheet and Agenda showing delivery of information from DC/TL/CS November Meeting
    Due to SpEd Manager Secretary, Diana Espinosa by December 3:
    • Special Education Campus Sign-In sheets (for many campuses, this is found on the red clipboard).
