2019-2020 May DC/TL/CS Timeline

What We Do
    1. Determine Case Manager for all new students entering the campus. Selections should be determined based on program the student is involved in, classes where the teacher is assigned to support, extracurricular activities for those students receiving monitoring through Support Facilitation
    2. Provide any updated teacher schedules to the Campus Coordinator as schedules are adjusted.
    3. Complete the Monthly Special Education Roster/SHARS Documentation google doc - follow instructions outlined in the Monthly Medicaid Roster procedures - Due May 5 & at EOY Check-In.
    4. Complete and submit Revised Monthly Count information to campus coordinator by May 10 (put the actual day the count was taken in the blank).
    5. Meet with Special Education team to relay information from the April DC/TL meeting (agenda and sign-in sheets will be submitted by May 16).
    6. Ensure SpEd teachers are collaborating with GenEd teachers to complete the Form 2 - Student Services Planning Document prior to participating in the annual ARD/IEP meeting.
    7. Ensure all staffings take place for incoming 6th and 9th graders (promotion staffings complete by May 17.
    8. When a restraint takes place, be sure that the certified staff member involved in the restraint completes the appropriate forms and notifies administration and parents according to the procedures outlined in the procedures manual**: Confinement, Restraint, and Timeout.
    9. Ensure SpEd teachers are progress monitoring according to outlined procedures.
    10. Complete the PEIMS Verification and submit the Error Document to Lisa Bryant (Compliance Coordinator) at ebryant@springisd.org  
    11. Check that teachers and paraprofessionals are posting their sessions in MSB xLogs.
    12. Watch and listen to the PowerPoint for AIP/IPI from the DC/TL/CS Connection:
    1. Download the PowerPoint (not Google Slides)
    2. Put the Slides in Presentation Mode
    3. Make sure the volume is on and not muted 
    4. Hover over the speaker icon and select play (do this for each slide).
    5. Click on the space bar to go to the next slide.

          13. Complete the AIP/IPI Quiz that aligns to the training PowerPoint reviewed.  
    Due to Campus Coordinator on or before May 10:
    1. Monthly Count 
    2. Check for Understanding: AIP/IPI video learning
    Due to Medicaid Specialist (SHARS@springisd.orgon or before May 5 and at EOY Check-In: 
    • Staff Roster - google LINK 
    Due to Campus Coordinator prior to or on May 22 (Elementary), May 23 (Middle), May 24 (High):
    • Copy of Google Doc verifying all promotion staffings and their scheduled ARD dates have been scheduled/completed (singed by SpEd staff & Campus Admin)
    • All components of EOY Check-In (documents, materials, forms, etc.) 
    Due to SpEd Manager Secretary, Diana Espinosa, on May 25:
    • Special Education Campus Sign-In sheets (for many campuses, this is found on the red clipboard)
