What's Required
Each public agency must ensure that the
child is assessed in all areas related to the suspected disability, including,
if appropriate, health, vision, hearing, social and emotional status, general
intelligence, academic performance, communicative status, and motor abilities.
What We Do
- When a student being referred is suspected of having an Emotional Disturbance (ED), Autism (AU), or Other Health Impairment due to ADHD (OHI-ADHD), the campus Diagnostician should immediately request an Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) to be a part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) by email to the LSSP assigned to the campus.
- An ARD/IEP Meeting will be held and the campus LSSP will be invited to attend. The REED will be reviewed, Notice given, and consent obtained. The campus LSSP will be responsible for comleting the assessment within the timeline and then presenting the information the the ARD/IEP Committee.
