What We Do
End of School Year Guidelines and Procedures
All STEP binders and documents must be secured prior to the end of the school year.
EOY Procedures - Grade 3-8 and EOC teachers (GenEd, Bilingual, ESL, CTE) will remove work samples to be filed in the teacher’s student folders for documentation of student progress over the year (this can be paper or digital)
- Grade 3-8 and EOC teachers (GenEd, Bilingual, ESL, CTE) will remove all printed student information (IEP pages, data, etc) and give to SpEd Case Manager to be filed for next year distribution
- Grade 3-8 and EOC teachers (GenEd, Bilingual, ESL, CTE) will turn in empty STEP binder to designated administrator/SpEd Department Chair/Team Lead to be stored in safe location for summer
- SpEd case manager will receive all student information from GenEd teacher
- SpEd case manager will have outdated IEP information shredded confidentially and file all other documents with student SpEd folder to be distributed prior to the start of school 2016-2017
- SpEd Department Chair/Team Lead will ensure all documents have been securely filed
- Administrator will ensure all empty STEP binders are retrieved and put away prior to teacher check-out
